Vice President of Cash Management

Objective

The VP of Cash Management will manage and monitor the daily functions of the Payments team to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements and to
maximize operational efficiencies and excellence. Provide support, assistance, and backup processing for all loan servicing functions including, but not limited to payments, payoffs, disbursement of loan funds and file maintenance requests. Advise the members of the management team on identification and implementation of process flow improvements while considering controls, compliance, and ensuring efficient and consistent processes including updating departmental procedures.

Primary Duties & Tasks

  • Manage the process for payment processing, payoffs, cash disbursement, and suspense management
  • Manage processes to reconcile daily batch processing for cash
  • Handle escalated payments issues
  • Perform audits of all payments transactions to ensure accuracy of transactions
  • Implement and create policies, procedures, and job aides needed for cash management
  • Responsible for managing the process in accordance with applicable policies and regulatory guidelines for:
    • The timely preparation of all required daily reconciliations including the payment clearing account
    • The timely preparation of all required monthly reconciliations including custodial T&I and P&I accounts
    • Responsible for implementing controls and appropriate policies to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of the reconciliation process
  • Work with the Corporate accounting team to provide information for the proper accounting of company data
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and work to implement and automate processes where possible

  • Communicate and work with servicing operations personnel where necessary
  • Prepare weekly and monthly management reports including KPIs
  • Work on special projects as assigned by the President of Servicing

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • 5-10 years of experience in Loan Servicing
  • Knowledge of Black Knight Servicing platform
  • Proficient use of Office Suite
  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
