Vice President, Bankruptcy & Foreclosure

The Vice President Foreclosure/Bankruptcy position will directly report to Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for working directly with governmental, special servicing, private label, and high-profile investors while making decisions and providing resolutions regarding foreclosure and bankruptcy issues. Coaches, coordinates, and monitors performance of staff work activities to achieve the volume expected to meet operational requirements as well as collaborates with peer groups and provides process-specific feedback and develops on-going training to Foreclosure and Bankruptcy unit including recommending operational improvements. Creates, conducts, and delivers organizational goal alignment performance evaluations and implementation and monitoring of vendor score cards.

Department Oversight

  • Responsible for Management oversight of various foreclosure and bankruptcy functions required per Federal, Agency, and investor guidelines to meet Compliance standards
  • Ensure all Bankruptcy and Foreclosure functions are executed within internal SLA’s and per required quality standards
  • Partner with Vendor Management to establish oversight of FC and BK firms inclusive of meaningful scorecard measurements
  • Monitor, communicate and manage Attorney/Trustee relationships as well as timeline management in accordance with Federal, State and Agency standards
  • Direct, Implement and supervise department activities, stay abreast of new regulations and changes to investor guidelines
  • Enhance staff performance through coaching, training, and setting of goals
  • Foster partnerships with QC and Compliance to proactively monitor, manage and challenge vendor performance
  • Manage technological changes and updates on MSP and BKFS
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of BKFS workstations, default workstations, MSP and New Invoice and all other systems utilized in Default Operations
  • Identifies opportunities to increase revenue and reduce expenses
  • Responsible for requesting, creating/preparing, updating/revising, reviewing, testing, finalizing/approving, conduct training and maintain the departments policies and procedures

  • Services as a key point of contact for all items related to BK/FCL

Education/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in residential loan servicing and / or distressed real estate portfolio management
  • Bachelor Degree or additional years of experience in successfully leading loan servicing and / or residential mortgage functions
  • Strategic mindset to set vision and direction for growth
  • Demonstrated success leading systems conversions, implementing new processes that are scalable and meet business requirements
  • Proven leadership capability to drive change and lead others
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of with residential real estate documentation
  • Prior experience with foreclosures, bankruptcy, delinquent loans, deed in lieu and actions related to delinquent residential real estate loans

EXPECTED HOURS

  • Full time position – regular office hours Monday to Friday, typically 8:00am to 5:00pm (aka, “core hours”) with flexibility on start & end times. Employee must be available during the core hours and will work over a continuous 9-hour timeframe day, with one-hour break for lunch
