Bank Reconciliation Senior Analyst

Description

The Bank Reconciliation Senior Analyst is responsible for reconciling all servicing clearing and custodial accounts. This position is responsible for preparing reconciliations and researching and clearing all reconciling items within timeframes prescribed by Company policy and regulatory guidelines. This position works closely with both the Accounting and Servicing Departments to research and resolve any discrepancies.

Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations

  • Completes daily reconciliation on clearing bank account activities to system reports; ensures submitted daily reconciliations are audit-ready
  • Completes monthly bank reconciliations on custodial P&I and T&I accounts within 30 days from bank statement cutoff date and ensures final reconciliations are audit-ready
  • Thoroughly researches and identifies items in the bank accounts requiring very minimal supervision
  • Escalates and follows through clearing of items in the accounts to ensure departmental goals are met
  • Updates and logs completion of accounts and outstanding items in the Bank Reconciliation Matrix
  • Assists in completing audit requests from various investors, state and regulatory agencies
  • Monitors Bank Custodial accounts to ensure that no overdrafts occur
  • Assists in various Cash Management functions as needed
  • Identify and recommend improvements to policies and procedures related to reconciliation process
  • Perform additional duties as required

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years experience
  • Mortgage servicing industry experience highly preferred
  • MSP loan servicing system experience preferred
  • Prior experience in bank reconciliations highly preferred
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in fast-paced environment; quick thinker

Expected Hours

  • Full time position with regular office hours Monday through Friday, typically 8:30 to 5:00 with flexibility on start and end times allowed

Physical Demands

  • This is largely a sedentary role, with filing requirements that would entail the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, bend, stand, and stoop. May be required to lift supplies and files.
